Imperial College NHS Trust is a world leader in the treatment of prostate cancer as well as benign prostate related diseases. An increasing number of prostate cancer patients are referred to our unit from all over the UK.

The unit is extensively involved in research and has a substantial number of ongoing clinical research trials available, which are currently open to recruitment for all aspects of prostate cancer including earlier and more accurate diagnosis, localised cancer confined within the prostate, cancer that has spread outside the prostate ie metastatic cancer and prostate cancer that has recurred after previous radiotherapy. We also have open trials evaluating newer treatments for benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).

The Imperial Prostate Foundation Charity was set up to support these patients and their relatives in addition to the doctors, nurses, research teams and allied health professionals involved in our prostate service. The Charity works closely and cooperatively with the Imperial NHS prostate department and the community and offers assistance with the aim of promoting excellence in the service provided to patients.
